In the iPhone activation video you can see that "Wedding Crashers" is in the list of movies to sync to the iPhone. Now I don't think apple would be promoting ripping DVD's to iTunes seeing as it's illegal.. But could this mean that New Line Cinema (part of Warner Bros) will be sending movies to the iTunes store... This would be one more huge step for selling movies online and for appletv... Now all they need is the HD content! Here is an image from the video.. http://www.engadget.com/media/2007/06/80gb-iphone_glow.jpg
Ignore the 80GB iphone, it was a mistake by apple...

Well, if the 80GB iPhone is a mistake, then The Wedding Crashers could be a mistake as well. Ripping DVDs is only illegal in the US if the DVD is copy protected. Other countries allow you to rip copy protected DVDs as long as it is for personal use. It could be a promotion for other countries. Either way, this is a step in the right direction. I still refuse to purchase movies off of the iTunes Store simply because I can spend $2.00 and get a physical two disc copy at Best Buy. Now, if Apple started offering 720p unprotected videos (so I can play them on my Xbox 360), then I would start purchasing movies.
