Hi there - I am looking for an Aux line out cable for an aftermarket Pioneer that both charges Ipod and retains Ipod controls but needs to tell Ipod to PAUSE when the power from the car is turned off.

I bought an adaptor through Crutchfield that does everything above EXCEPT stop the Ipod from continuing to play when the car is turned off. This causes the Ipod battery to drain each time we forget to stop it manually.

Does anyone know of an adapter that would handle this? I can either hook it up to the CD changer port or the RCA out. Thanks!

Thanks, but that is only a charger. I am looking for a direct line out that connects to the CD changer, AUX port and also charges the Ipod. Mine does all that put doesn't pause when the truck is turned off.

Anyone else?

The Auto Kit is a charger/output device, not "just a charger." Signal is output from the iPod's dock connector to a stereo-mini jack in the charger; from there you can do with it what you want (convert to RCA, etc.). The Auto Kit also features a built-in adjustable amp, so you can trim the final output to best match your other components (FM, cassette, CD, etc.), resulting in less futzing (and the occasional blown speaker) from wildly mismatched levels.

You p'bly owe it to yourself to check it out again; this time, read carefully...the ears you save could be your own ;-)
