My main PC (the one with iTunes installed) got taken out during a storm. I'm in the process of fixing it.

In the meantime, is there any way for me to put new podcasts onto my iPod using my work computer? Over a week and no new podcasts - I'm going nuts... :)

I tried mounting the iPod as an external hard drive, and copying the .mp3 into the root directory, but the file doesn't seem to be accessible for play. Help!?

Welcome. Just download the podcasts and transfer them to the iPod by drag-n-drop onto the iPod icon in the source list in iTunes. You will need to download iTunes onto your work computer and make sure it is in disk mode or set to manual.

If you can't use iTunes then you need a 3rd party app the allows transfer of podcasts. See the software listed under #8 here (http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=71349).
