Recently purchased an HP laptop with Vista Home Premium. All of my music is stored on an external USB hard drive. Installed iTunes 7.2 and added the entire music directory to the library. The problem is when I try to access the tag information the entire "Get Info" tag is grayed out. The info is there but I can't change it. If I add a song that is located on the hard drive I don't have the problem.
I've managed the library in this way on my XP desktop and XP laptop with the same external drive and not had the same issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
