Tunecast II Mod?

Anyone do the antenna extension mod to their Belkin Tunecast II? How well did it work?

Trying to find a good FM transmitter. So far I've tried the Tunecast II and the dock iTrip. The dock iTrip is working better than the Tunecast, but I'm temped to do the mod instead of returning it.

I have never done this but I have an educated assestment.

I question how much a transmitter mod difference will do. The prob is not not-enuff-power, the prob of FM is, the receiver it gettting interference from "somewhere else" other than the iPod transmitter.

If u believe what I am saying, the best mod I've seen here is where one guy disconnected the radio from the car's antenna (cut off external interference), so all signals it gets is from the iPod transmitter.

Just my 2 educated pence. :)

I believe an external antena for the transmitter can make a big difference, but bobb-mini is right, the problem is the FM itself.
