hey, i was looking at buying a nano for my wife, and i wanted to get a screen protector.

i saw on martin fields site that it looks like the MF for the 2g nano is JUST a screen protector... as in it doesn't go on the whole of the nano, JUST the screen, is that correct?

http://www.martinfields.com/US/dis_product.asp?model=nano_2G&modeln=iPod%20Nano%202nd%20Gen&prod_type=screen

are the newer nanos more scratch resistant? if i get a marware sidewinder or another case, will i need a screen protector?

If you want a screen protector Decal Girl (http://www.decalgirl.com/browse.cfm/4,4842.htm) has them for $4.99.

The Sidewinder does provide screen protection so if you don't want to purchase one and plan on leaving it in the case then you won't really need one. I've had my Nano in a clear case since I purchased it. The casing doesn't scratch as easily as the previous generation.

i will check out decal girl, but if the martin fields is JUST a screen protector (it looks like it is) i have the backhalf of the MF that i didnt' use on my ipod 5g, so i might just cut that up to size for my wife.

i didn't know if the marware or any other case scratched up the screen like it was supposedly doing on the older gens, that's all.

thanks for clarifying my question!
