iPod, dock connector, and buying some new speakers.

I am seriously considering buying the Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 surrond speakers, with the sub and everything. Are they fit to be plugged into the dock connector, and get good sound quality?They are designed to be used with the Audigy soundcards that Creative are selling (at an obscene price, and I'm getting the speakers for ?30)

Would the sound quality be just as good playing from the dock as from a PC?

Actually, I believe that the sound quality from the dock is supposed to be better than a PC since it bypasses the converter or something like that. This is the reason why if you play it through the headphone jack, the sound is muted versus playing it through the dock, or in your car via a Belkin car charger. I'm sure that there are some better speakers though for around the same cost. Check out hi-fi.org, they have great reviews on sound equipment. Hope that helps, happy holidays! :)
