A little help with a dissertation...

I am currently doing a dissertation on the economic impacts of file sharing through P2P systems such as KaZaA, Limewire, Grokster, Win MX and Bit Torrent and have made up a very small questionnaire.

If anyone has ever downloaded music for free through these systems, I would be incredibly grateful if you could give me a couple of minutes of your time and fill out a very short questionnaire.

The questionnaire is in excel spreadsheet format and I could send it to an email address as an attachment. Don't post your email address on this board, please just PM me it and I'll forward to you.

97hills works for the RIAA, the attachment sends info from your computer to him/her and they investigate and will press charges if you have illegally downloaded music. Do not fall for this.

ALthough made by a scarcastic point, I can assure everyone that I do not work for the RIAA and will show them draft of the dissertation if needed.

No personal details will be asked for during the questionnaire and results of the questionnaire are blind (I do not kno who answered what)

I don't think you work for the RIAA, but I will point out, that once we reply to the e-mail, you can pinpoint our location fairly easily.

^^Not too sure about the tracking or the ease of it, but I will fill out a questionnaire that is hosted online without having to download it or use email.

unfortunately the questionnaire is in excel format and I do not have the time to put it online right now.

I realise that all those who carry out the questionnaire will be trackable the email they would need to send me but I can assure those that this will not be done.

I wouldn't trust that either. He could be a cop or something for all we know, and it'll be a lot easier to find out our IP's this way as some e-mail services allow you to view it. If it was like the Psychology Questionnaire then I'd fill it out.

I'm sure if I was a cop I'd have have more pressing priorities than trying to catch a couple of people who may of downloaded a music file for free.
