I was really excited to see Koloroo come out with a couple cool applications for iPhoto. The KolorWheel and the TipKalc. Both are a lot of fun to play around with. You can see the article in the iLounge news archives.
It got me thinking of other possibilities for iPhoto based games and applications. I remembered the old Magic 8-Ball game where you ask a Yes-or-No question and then shake this softball sized 8-ball to see your answer appear on this multi-sided, floating, triangle. So, yes, I got to playing around in CorelDraw and came up with my own version of Magic 8-Ball that can be played on any iPod with a color screen. Just ask a Yes-or-No question and spin the iPod click wheel for the answer. I used all of the original answers from the old magic 8-ball and then added quiet a few new ones. It basically uses a series of images that you click through to magically find your answer.
If anyone is interested in a giving it a try I’d be happy to send you the photo set and instructions. It’s free to all. Just email me and I'll send them out. ipod_games@yahoo.com (i know, not very original)
I would love to hear other ideas for iPhoto based games or applications. I was thinking about trying to come up with a dice rolling version to play craps.
