What iPod Earbuds do you deem better and why? The older generation pairs that were shipped with the first gen shuffle, older iPod models etc. or the new revamped versions of the earbuds packaged with all the new iPods like the 80GB etc.

Do you think the sound is better on one or the other and why?
Is one more comfortable than the other?

As the owner of both, I like the new ones better. I find them more comfortable and I take it thats why Apple doesn't include the foam covers anymore. I like the sound of them better as well.

I think the lows are better with the new ones.

yes, I can hear a better bass response with the newer ones. Sound quality cannot be determined with the naked earbuds. Try putting foams on both old and new earbuds and switch between the two when listening, you can actually hear the difference!

I voted "Both the same" since both versions suck.

Remember that it's the iPod itself you are paying for. The earbuds are simply cheap trinkets thrown into the box so the consumer can get listening to their new device quickly.

Rule #1 for any new iPod owner: Go buy better earphones!
