I have two pairs of in-ear headphones-- some Panasonics, and a set of Sennheisers (which I prefer). They both had the tell-tale signs of earwax build-up, unfortunately; the sound in the right phone on each set suddenly diminshd greatly (still there, but barely).
I did some digging online and found a few things about cleaning them, and so I got some cotton swabs and some hydrogen peroxide, removed the silicone buds, and wiped the headphones clean.
Long story short, the Panasonics work fine now (though that may be more because I accidently poked holes in the filter?) but the Sennheisers, not so much. The cleaning didn't really do much.
What can I do? I think the wax must be behind the screen on the headphone, but I can't physically get at that, and I bit leery of giving them a bath in the hydrogen peroxide. Any tips on cleaning these would be greatly appreciated-- I love them. these are the ones I have (http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/500831).
Thanks in advance!
