i saw on the keynote previe iChat was Unified, what do you think apple will do with the clash of all the themes; they have Brushed Metal(Safari), Smooth Metal(iTunes) Aqua(Sherlock), Unified(Mail), Pro Theme(Apeture)?

But how iTunes has steered away from the other iLife apps(blue bubbly menu bars to that grey smooth, highlighted text, etc) makes it seem like that will be how iLife will look in '07

I think they will make everything exept iLife into Unified, and do away with the Aqua apps theme, and make all of iLife look like iTunes 7. All the different themes are making Mac OS X look very disorganized and not one flowing beautiful OS like they had planned.. i don't know just my thought.

I'd like to see Leopard unify itself with "Illuminous," the iTunes 7 theme.

Don't forget: Leopard Finder is Unified.

how do you know?

and imho, iTunes 7 is fugly. they should change it back to the look of the rest of the iLife apps. and change everything else to Unified.

I don't know if it still is, but in early builds the Finder did have a unified and tabbed interface.

Thinksecret posts a gallery of pertinent Leopard pictures once every so often.

At the moment I use the application called Uno which makes all my programs look the same with no slowdowns or anything. It would be nice if it was all the same in Leopard though, the Macs have had a lot of big changes in the past year and I think Apple are struggling to update everything. I am impressed by how quickly they made the Intel switch and how quickly developers responded my writing Universal apps.

I think with Leopard Apple will do some final polishing touches, Office 2007 will be out, Adobe products will go universal, boot camp and parallels will work 100% with Windows and Linux, prices will fall and then people will have no excuse not to join the Mac world :D

I would like to see Mac OS X moved to other machines as well as I think it will be just as stable on other setups. Although I don't know whether this will ever happen.

won't. ever. happen. Steve doesnt want OS X on a beige or grainy dull black dell box.
