Hi i bought shure e2c's and i like them a lot.. They fit perfectly and have great sound quality.
i compared them with my brother's bose triports. And while e2c's were louder and did much better in the "vocal part of the song" (mids). They lack bass..
I wanted to know if i upgraded to e4c's would that make a difference? or will i still need to buy an external amplifier or something to increase the bass?.
so my question is..
IS spending 100$ more on going from e2c to e4c worth the difference in sound quality?
and if possible can someoen post link to some of those external amplifiers? and do they really make a differnce when used with e2c?

I'd say that if you already own Shure E2c, it is definitely not worth shelling out 399$ for the E4c. I have both E2c and E4c, and I can't really say that I notice that much of a difference, and absolutely not to justify the high price of Shure E4c. If you are looking for bass, you're not going to get more if you upgrade to E4c, but I do agree that both of them are lacking in that area.

I am perfectly happy with increasing the bass with the EQ, and I don't think you can get more without distorting the sound.

Using EQ will distort the sound.

Many headphones deliver more bass 'punch' than Shures. Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5EBs, Panasonic HJE70s, etc.

If you want more bass I said you should give Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5 EBs a try.

You should buy UE Super.Fi 5Pro or Shure NEW SE420 which are dual driver IEMs. They are(both) bass heavy but very balanced and soundstage is bigger(near fullsize headphones). Iam sure you will enjoy the sound and feel the difference between these and E2c.
