Broken ipod!! Please Help!

Ok so today i dropped my ipod on my way into school. I have a 30 gb 1st gen video. I Went into school and listened to my ipod for about 30 seconds and i got a message. It read "Connect to your computer. Use itunes to restore." So i come home, plug it in. It says stuff about it being courrupt and to restore. so i try. It gives me this error "The Ipod "ipod" could not be restored. An Unknown error occurred. (1418).

I Really need help please!

The technical term for this is "Fooked" you need to take it to the bin, drop it in, and buy a new iPod.

I tried to restore mine as well after it finally registered with itunes and I also got that error.....This sucks but im still tryin everything

The hard drive's busted. Try a reset. I am not sure if it would help in this situation, but it might be your best chance!
