4th Gen 40 GB Ipod with no problems for the last couple of years.
Then, I recently got a Nano, so I haven't used the Ipod the last couple of weeks. Wanted to update the songs on it, and when it connected to Itunes, everything seemed OK. But I wanted to get whole new songs on, so I figured the best thing is to do a Restore. Everything seemed OK until I tried reconnecting to Itunes and the Ipod does not get recognized and instead shows the battery needs charging screen. So I charged it many different ways (USB, AC power) for the whole weekend, but the Ipod never completes the restore process. Does not get recognized by Itunes and cannot go to disk mode. Simply stays on the battery needs charging screen. Any ideas?
