connection problem

When I plug my ipod into my USB, nothing happens. I was able to put songs on it recently, but it's now it doesn't even show the "do not disconnect" screen when I plug it in. It's like my computer isn't reading it at all, like it wasn't plugged in. I've tried different USB ports and a different cable, still nothing. I don't know of anything different I've done to my ipod or my computer since the last time I was able to put songs on it. What could be wrong?

Are the USB ports working with other USB devices?

Yes, I switched my keyboard and wireless adapter around, which both use USB. They're all working.

I had this problem with my old Creative MP3 Player and was never able to figure out why it didnt work. I ended up buying an iPod, but if you can't get it to work, try getting a new USB cord for it.

If your iPod works fine, then try a reset. Also check with a friend's computer.

Try to connect your ipod to a FM car kit i did that to mine and it sarted to work fine again.
My ipod had the same problem has yours!!
