I have a question for those people that have successfully upgraded their iPod firmware from 2.0.1 to 2.1 on Windows XP.
Let me explain what I did. I downloaded the 2.1 setup.exe from Apple web site. Then I ran it to install it. And then I ran the program 'iPod Software 2.1 Updater V2'. Then click on the button 'Update' to update my iPod. Then the program displayed the following message 'Your iPod has been updated. Please leave the iPod connected and waits until it completes the update process'. The status bar on the screen showed the update process about 90-95% complete. And now the status bar is not moving at all to 100% complete. What should I do? Can I safely remove iPod by ejecting it? Or do I keep on waiting until the status bar said it's 100% complete?
Please let me know if you have experience with installing 2.1 using Windows XP.
