I just got my nano like 4 days ago and it was working good until today...for some odd reason I'll be in the middle of a song and it'll skip to the next song and some songs it doesn't even play, but it was fine yesterday and the day before. I think I might be safe and just take it back before the 14 day return limit is up. How do I delete everything I put on it? or will the store I got it from do all of that? Any advice would be great....Thanks

Does the fault happen when it's near your cell phone or when your cell phone rings?

No,the store will not reformat the ipod.

First, restore the ipod to see if that fixes it. You do this right in tunes. When the ipod is connected and showing up in itunes the restore/update function is looking you right in the face.

If this does not fix it....you delete everything the same way...do a full restore and it will wipe it clean.

The songs that it's skipping: had they previously played fine? (I note you said it was acting fine until then, but you didn't mention if you were playing the same tracks that now acted up.) If it continues to have trouble with only those tracks, the files might be corrupted. Happened to me once with my mini - just had to re-rip and re-load them. Just a thought...
