Basically, I got a brand new silver 2 gb ipod nano (2nd generation) yesterday for my bday.
It charges fine.. its now on full charge but it isn't recognized by iTunes or Windows. When I plug it in I hear a bell sound, like when you plug in USB devices, but this ones different. It's more of a stutter bell then just a regular bell sound.
Under device manager, the Ipod is displayed with a yellow question mark and it says that the drivers are not installed.
Plugged the iPod into my roommate's Mac and it worked fine so its obviously something on my PC.
I was doing backflips when I got this and now I just feel like throwing it out the window.

And please don't just read this and link me to apple.com articles. I've read them all. Tried everything, and I've done the stupid "5 R's" about 3 times.
