my new 30gb ipod will display albulm artwork with track listing, but when you press circle on click wheel to display large artwork none appears. Any ideas???

Does the artwork appear in your iTunes?

First, if this iPod is used but "new to you" as opposed to brand new, it could have down-rev firmware which had a problem like this. The current version is 1.2.1 (you can check via Settings/About).
If it has the latest firmware, then you can try re-building the artwork database if you auto-sync your iPod:
- Connect it to iTunes
- On the iPod summary page, de-select the artwork option for this iPod
- Apply the changes to re-sync your iPod
- Re-select the artwork option and re-sync again
- Let iTunes rebuild your artwork database
Give that a shot ...

I don't think it's an artwork cache if the proper artwork is showing up with the track info. I assume when you say nothing appears, all you get is a white square where the artwork should be. Try resetting the iPod by holding the center and menu buttons till it restarts, this should fix it.
