Big Ipod Problem!

4gb (1st Gen)

Worked fine when I first got it such as importing songs from itunes and what not... played fine on my itrip and charged fine...

Then one day i plugged it into my computer (same computer I have always used) and nothing happened but charging...

It seems like the computer totally ignores the fact its plugged in.

I have tryed many solutions but nothing has worked. And also it wont go into Disk Mode when I try to do it.

Any suggestions?

Anything would be greatfully appreciated.

Its probably due to a bad sector on your hard drive. Best thing would be to get it repaired.
Have you tried using a different cable to connect the iPod to your computer?

yea i tryed a new cable, computers (mac and wind), ipods on my computer... and it just seems to be mine...

so i have to actually send the ipod in? or is there stores that fix the ipod?

Is the problem only with your computer, or is it not recognized by other computers? Does your iPod work fine other wise? If your iPod is recognized by other computers, then it must be a fault with your USB port. If it is not recognized even by other computers, then send it to apple.
