All I want to do is to email a friend an mp3 of a voice memo I have recorded and converted to mp3 (from wav)...

How do I

1)extract or find the mp3 file

2)so I can attach it to the email

or indeed do anything else useful with it, apart from listen to it only on my computer, on itunes?

grrr

Edward

Well- I have found the folder, itunes music, but when I go to search to attach, many albums that I have in my music library simply are not there!

How do I find them?

Or get them to be visible in the folder?

Was this file in iTunes?

To find files on your hard disk from iTunes. Find the song/file in iTunes. Select it and click ctrl-R and it will take you to the file on your hard drive.

If it's from your iPod itself it will be more complicated, use programs as has been suggested.
