please help. weird screen showing up

when i turned on my ipod today, i accidently touched the middle button i think while the apple was on and then my ipod shows this weirs screen with a check mark.
below it says "OK to disconnect" and i ve tried to turn off the ipod but nothing works. when i connect it to itunes it says " do not disconnect" and as soon as i eject, it shows the same screen again! please help

ugh i dont know why every time i try to do that, like when it freezes, it never works.
i just let it die out.

should i restore it?

It's just in disk mode. Reset should work, if not then yea, restore.

thanks, i tried to reset it but of course it didnt work.
i'm restoring it now

Reset is not the answer. You have to do the same thing to get it out of disc mode as you did to put it into disk mode; ie, hold down select and play.
