Hello all - I have been using a 40GB iPod for some time now and it recently died. Assuming it was the hard drive and I ordered a new 40 GB drive (MK4006GAH) to replace it. I got the new drive installed and was still having problems. After getting everything to work I spent all of last night loading the iPod up with 40GBs of music. It is packed!! When I turned the iPod on this morning I was back to getting the folder icon!! I can plug the iPod in and in iTunes see the 4000 songs on it, but they are greyed out and I cant do antyhing with them. But I AM DONE messing with this thing.. I just dont have time to research the problem and fix it. From what I have seen on these forums it looks like a common problem, but I dont have time to mess with this thing so I am looking to sell/trade the 4th gen iPods that I do have. The hardware is listed below:
1 4th gen 40GB iPod with known bad drive (I assume the drive is bad)
2 4th gen 20GB iPod with unknown drives/issues
1 BRAND NEW 40GB MK4006GAH
5 used unknown condition 20GB drives
I am mainly looking for a trade on a video iPod, but offers will also be accepted. I have only bought 1 thing from these forums so I dont have feedback on here, but on eBay I have 94 transactions with 100% positive feedback.
