After searching a while on the forum, I couldn't find a way to export easily the contacts from Outlook Express into Vcards (the goal being to co^py and paste them in the contacts folder of the Ipod).

Outpod works only for Outlook and not Outlook Express.

A quick search on the net led me to:
http://homepage.mac.com/phrogz/CSV2vCard_2.html

In 3 steps, it can from a Outlook Express entire address book (saved in csv) give you a single Vcard file which has all the entries and which is totally readable by the Ipod.

Note that the export from Outlook Express gave me ";" as separator in my csv file. You have to replace them by a regular comma "," or step 2 won't work.

If your original address book is not as clean as you'd like, I suggest you make your changings into the csv file (opened in excel). It goes faster as you can see all the data.

Here are the fields recognized by the Ipod using this application(so needless to fill te others):

First Name
Last Name
E-mail Address
Home Street
Home City
Home Postal Code
Home State
Home Country/Region
Home Phone
Home Fax
Mobile Phone
Personal Web Page
Business Street
Business City
Business Postal Code
Business State
Business Country/Region
Business Phone
Business Fax
Pager
Company
Job Title

It seems like the field "notes" isn't exported though the box is checked. This can de done by opening the Vcard file and adding the line "NOTE: your note" after the line "TITLE'.

Hope this helps.
