I JUST purchased the 15gb, have windows me, bought the firewire/2.0 connector and it says iPod not connected....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

You may want to try Ephpod 2.58 instead of Musicmatch and Ipod Manager. Uninstall these two from your PC and see what happens.
