Need iPod 2nd Gen 10GB receipt scan

I am in big trouble, I have the exclamation folder icon on my ipod and I can't find my receipt showing when I purchased it. Apple won't touch it without a receipt (or $250 repair fee).

Is there anyone out there who can send me a scan of their receipt? Or if someone has one that they sold but kept the receipt, or something. You can remove the serial # (if it's even there), or date, or store #. I can pay money. Please help a desperate and sad ipod owner.

there was a report of someone taking their iPod to a local apple store and they were able to verify purchase date by when it was registered. you should have no problem as long as it's currently under warranty.
