I just got a 3rdgen 40gig ipod 3 days ago, and thanks to the very helpful info on this site, got it installed on windows 98se. However, it will not shuffle songs or albums or repeat. I select it on the settings menu and the icons appear, but it still just goes to the next song or stops once the artist folder is finished.
What's strange is that the shuffle worked the first time i turned on the ipod, but then it hasn't worked since. I am using ephpod. Is there anything I can do to make the shuffle and repeat work, or do i have to start over, delete everything and reinstall the software? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i also have one more question. The battery meter isn't working. it always says it is full and then crashes suddenly. should i try a different firmware version.? i noticed that 1.3 was still available on the apple site. thanks so much for you help :)
