As i was to have my iPod sold I 10min ago downloaded the program to format and upgrade firmware. The program said i had the latest fw. so I just choosed resett to fab. settings .. The pod was formatted and then the program told me to disconnect the iPod then reconnect when "connect" logo shown on my Pod.

This far everything is okey... Now, reconnecting the firewire cabel ... Apple logo on screen ... still apple logo on screen ...... apple logo ....... oh guess what? apple logo ..

No iPod found on my PC ... thinking: what went wrong? *still apple logo*

I diss the firewire and the apple logo fades away slooooow, then starts to pulse and fadeout at the same time... OH MY GOD!! ITS DIEING !! or something ... Connect it to the wall-battery loader... OH! apple logo .... *instant replay a few rows up and see "apple logo string"*

Well as you understand this is frustrating for me now, I cant have it sold and I cant even use it for personal satesfactions.

Apple support closed 32min ago and still my warrenty is out, 2months ago, so they wont really help me i guess. My problem is that i have a good mp3player, two iSkins and nothing to do with them, play tennis isnt so good becouse the bnc effect sucks.

Anyone got any idea what to do? please help me.

still apple logo ...

it didn't work, i managed to get the cover off and uplug the battery and plug it back in, the apple sign went away, and a battery sign came up, but then that dissapeared and the apple logo came up again.

hmm.. ####.. Then we are both screwed =(

A new battery cost 50dollars, but I dont think thats the problem here for us. The pod spins, the drives, couse it sounds so if u putt it close to the ear.

Then its no point of me doing it, i just came home from work and was about to try but now when i read your post i wont, just a waste of time.

Onyone here at ipodlounge know what to do?

The problem is, that we have no firmware on the iPod, it's like when you stuff up a bios flash or firmware flash for computer parts. You can never get it back. But a stupid program caused our error. Apple told me I have to wait in a massive line before they can even look at my iPod :(

hey! just phoned Apple Sweden and got the help i needed.

Connect your iPod to the loader, jeck to the wall.. press play so the logo shows.

now, pressdown MENU and PLAY/PAUSE at the same time.. hold it there for 5-10seconds.. the screen will flash and boot a few times, then the menu will come back and ask you to choose lanugage ... this is a way to reset the ipod, try it! worked for me!

im charging the battery atm and will see after its charged if it worked 100% but the support told me to fill the battery then connect to my mac/pc to transfer songs. good luck mate!

"Connect your iPod to the loader, jeck to the wall.. press play so the logo shows" - Where is loader? jeck to the wall?
