Hi. Just got my nano v1 autographed w/ a black perm sharpie. Anybody know what I can do to make it permanent? You can rub it off. Thanks.

you might want to get a spray on acrilliac. that is if you don't mind spraying something like that on your ipod.

Try a ShieldZone InvisibleShield (http://www.shieldzone.com) film. You have to put some water on it and slide it around to get it into place, but if the autograph is in sharpie it should hold up to a little water (and so will your iPod, as scary as it sounds), and it will be very well protected afterwards.
[Edit: I just noticed that you said it can rub off...was that true only while it was still wet, or does it just wipe right off still? If it didn't ever set up, then the InvisibleShield might not be a good idea as it might just wash off the marker during the application.]

It can rub off easily so I am nervous about putting anything on it that might make it bleed. I am sure that someone out there has the same issue and came up with a solution that works. It kinda defeats the purpose of having it autographed if I can't make it permanent. Aghhhh... Thanks:)

What you really need for this type of thing is a Paint Stick Pen.
http://www.misterart.com/store/view/001/group_id/1231/Pilot-Gold-and-Silver-Markers.htm
I have the bottom 2 in the top picture works on any surface pretty much just have to let it dry.
With this type of marker / paint stick you could put a clear protector over it with out worry.
