4Runner + USA Spec adapter, problems

I installed the usa spec ipod adapter in my father's 2004 4Runner. It works fine but the rear defroster, rear wiper and the rear window won't go down. I uninstalled the ipod adapter and it still won't work. I checked all the fuses and they were all fine. what else could the problem be? any ideas?

I just started raising and lowering the door windows and everything started to work. I guess the computer had to catch up or something.
