I’m using the current Griffin iTrip with Dock Connector on my 5G iPod Video and hear a popping sound between songs. I’ve tried it in DX, LX, US, and Int. mode, but the popping sound remains. I’ve also tried a Kensington Micro FM transmitters and it does not make a popping sound between songs.
I contacted Griffin support about the problem and they tell me it sounds like the unit is defective and I should return it to the store I bought it from. I’m not convinced my unit is defective; I’m thinking it may be a “feature” of the iTrip. I read a few messages from 2005 on this forum regarding the iTrip LCD and users where experiencing the same problem.
Anyone here with the current iTrip w/ Dock Connector having the same problem? The noise is not that bothersome to me, but I’d like to know if it’s a common problem.
