I was looking into easy and cheap ways to transfer music to an iPod while on the go. Lets say you want a way to transfer music to a friends iPod without having to stop at a computer.
Possibilites:
- iPod to iPod transfer or Flash USB drive to iPod transfer. Macally makes a USB to USB transfer device sold by (http://www.macally.com/spec/usb/input_device/tablets.html)Memorex. (http://www.memorex.com/html/products_detail.php?section=3&CID=28&SID=33&PID=1018&FID=158&opento=28#) and Aleratec (http://www.buyaleratec.com/usbcocrplpa3.html) also makes a similar device. While I bet these would work for two ipods with Rockbox installed, I doubt it could transfer music from a factory installed ipod to a factory installed ipod. Or a USB Drive to a factory installed iPod. I believe the transfer device would need to be programmed to interface with iPods.
-Smartphone/Pocket PC to iPod
I don't know of any programs that work on a smartphone or pocket PC that allows you to interface with an iPod.
-Laptop
Obviously
Let me know if you have any thoughts?
