Hey everyone, first post!

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6600. I have looked in the manual and I see that there are no RCA inputs. I have found that it does have an IP-Bus plug. After doing some searching, I found an IP-Bus to 3.5mm auxilary input adapter. Is this what I need to be able to plug my iPod in? (60gb 5th gen)

These are the only 2 places that I have found that sells the cables:

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=762
http://www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=pio-p-35mm

On the first website it says:

"2. The PIOP/P3.5M fits all Pioneer iP-BUS Changer control headunits with "Auxiliary input" option. In order to listen to external audio device attached to this connector, you must first enable the "AUX option" from within the menu on the headunit. [please consult the headunits manual for details]"

My radio had that option and even tells about it in the manual, so I want to make sure this is all I need before I go buying something.

I'm in the same boat. I own the Pioneer DEH-P6600 and want to connect my iPod to it. I bought the radio at Circuit City and was told they sell an adapter that will work (but they didn't have it in stock.) So when I went home and printed out the specs on the adapter, it didn't list the 6600 as a radio the adapter would work with. Did you ever find a solution? Any help would be appreciated.

Here's what you need Pioneer IP-Bus for iPOD XM MP3 to RCA Aux Input Cable (It should cost about $10-$15 on ebay) you will also need to buy Y to RCA cable that will allow you to put it into the ipod where your headphones normally go ($3-$6). Once you get that connect it to the back of your stereo. Turn off the radio by holding down the source button for a few seconds and it will turn off, then hold the function button for a few seconds it this will then allow you to change the time, plus turn on AUX, once its turned on go ahead and turn on your radio push the source button and it will change from radio, cd and Aux. Once its in AUX you can connect your ipod or MP3 player and play your tune . . . ENJOY
