I just got a new 07 F250 and want to play my nano in it but am not sure how to go about it.

I suppose the best way is with a control center or aux input; in my case, a FRD-04

I also like the idea of a FM transmitter because I could use it in any car and it can also have a built in charger, holder such as:

or,

Would I be stupid to not go with a aux input for sound quaility? I do not know how often I'd want to use it in other cars (not often) but it would be nice to jumpp in any car and play.

Thanks for any input.

Cheers

Depending on where you live, the quality of FM transmitter can be completly horrible. I just ordered a similar aux input adapter for my Tacoma. I'm sure others already have experiance with similar devices, but I'll let you know how well it works when it comes.

I'm in a '98 F150, using a cassette adapter, and the sound is miles better than what I can get from a transmitter; aux in will be even better than that. (FM has inherently narrowed frequency response and dynamic range; it's a bit disingenuous of NewerTech to claim 20-20KHz freq response for the TrafficJamz unit.)

Also, I'm a big fan of the Belkin AutoKit (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=149006). This unit will power the nano just like the xmitters; it also provides an adjustable amp which is great for matching playback levels (iPods have no volume control for the dock connector output). I dunno how the power taps are laid out in new 250s, but the Belkin is small enough that I can still get easy access to the adjacent cig lighter tap for charging my phone in the 150 ;-) The Belkin is available in white and black.

(At first I was bummed about no holder with the Belkin...but it was simple to adapt a standalone holder ($15) for mounting to the dash; looks better than the "factory" mount for my trailer brake controller ;-)

Thanks for the input, it really helps.

I have found alot of options for powering/charging:
