I just got a Griffin iTrip (the one with the dock connector) for christmas :D .
... but I have a question and a problem:
Question:
In mono mode, is it normal for the itrip to send ONLY the right channel instead of combining the left and the right channel into one? (I still get audio evenly from all speakers, but its all from the right channel of my music)
This is annoying because some of my songs have sounds that are only in the left channel and when I'm using the itrip, I can't hear them.
Problem:
When I put the itrip in stereo mode, it takes ONLY the right channel of the music and broadcasts it over the left and the right FM channels UNEVENLY. The left speakers play the right channel of my music about half as loud as the right speakers (which also play the right channel of my music). So, no matter what mode I am in, the iTrip NEVER broadcasts the left channel of my music. I tried to change the balance on my car radio to even everything out, but then I noticed that the sound coming from the left speakers sounds a lot more distorted and muffled than the right.
I tried this in another car and on my radio at home and I get the same problem.
Is all of this normal or should I try to return it?
If I need to return it, how would I? I don't have a receipt and my grandmother bought it in another state a few weeks ago. I don't even know if she will remember where she bought it.
