I have an Acura RL that has the ability to accept an external audio and video source. I was thinking of hooking my new Video iPod 5.5G 80GB to the car and using it to play movies etc. This will come in real handy when my wife and/or daughter is with me for a road trip. No lectures... I'm not going to watch myself while driving.

Has anyone done anything like this? Any suggestions? I'm curious as to the video quality on the external LCD screen too.

Thanks,

Scott

Why not just try it out. All u need is the AV cable.

I will, but learning from other people who may have done it already can save me some time and trouble. :)

Yes, it's been done. This is no hack. The iPod is DESIGNED so it can be hooked up to your video screen/TV. There is .05% trouble 'cuz it's just a simple hookup, u don't need to do anything fancy. Get the cable, plug it in, voila! No programming, no driver to load, no soldering. PLUG AND GO.

Yep, it's funny how people don't have to get sucked into buying a bigger screen dedicated to the iPod at $300 when you could buy a cheap $70 portable vid screen, a $2 cable, and get the same result. xD

Brainwashing, that's all it is.
