My wireless FM transmitter give a varying sound quality (sometimes good, sometimes bad). So I bought a wired FM modulator (click here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260059062038&rd=1&rd=1) for details).
But the sound quality was worse with this new wired FM modulator. Why?

Well, it's possible that a $10 gizmo just can't "afford" to produce very good sound ;-) Adjacent stations, or too much power from the modulator, may also be making your radio work (too) hard to process your signal, cutting into audio quality. Cable quality can play a role, too.

Does the modulator have any adjustments at all? Gain? Freq Lock and Adjust?

It has a switch "BAND SW." for "FM1" and "FM2", and another switch called (N/C), I don't know what it means. I put them at the switch that worked.
The vendor of the modulator told me that it works only in USA. I tried it in Paris, France. Do you know a wired FM modulator that could work in France?

That's your prob. FM spec for US and Europe are different.

No sorry, I stay away from anything FM.
