I cannot create or sign into a new itunes account

Every time I go to the itunes store, I try to create a new account. I'm not so good with computers so bear with me.

Well when I choose the option to create a new account, it says this: "We could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."

I have no idea what to do, and this is really frustrating me. I would really appreciate it if someone could help.

How does your computer connect to the internet? Dial up, DSL, broadband cable? Your connection is somehow being terminated.

its a comcast cable internet

Keep trying. The iTunes store may be busy with people setting up accounts and buying music for all those xmas ipods.
