According to Itunes there was an error in a cd I was putting into itunes.
Is this a problem?

That's a rather open question... What was the CD? Is it possible that it might have copy protection of some form on it? Did some, all, or none of the tracks import into iTunes?
You can also try turning on "Error Correction" under Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Importing to see if that helps.

It was an audio book The Annazi Boys by Neil Gaiman.
I doubt it is copy protected as it was the last track. All the other disks went through rather smoothly.
But I will explore the solution later on.
