I haven't picked up my iPod just yet - but I will after my experience this weekend.

It's so easy to download my favorite tv show - encode and upload. The video is flawless , and not straining on the eyes at all.

Tommorow I pick up my 30GB Vid - and now i just have to look for a nice case for it.

Any suggestions on cases?

depends on what you want and like.

I have a 5th gen 30gig with a DLO silicone jam jacket and a screen protector. Isn't bulky, has some shock resistance if it gets hit or dropped lightly. With the two, everything is protected from getting scratched. It also has a nice feel.

Now I'm getting a 5.5gen 80gig, just ordered yesterday. I ordered a Power Support Silicone jacket and film set for it. I looked around and decided on this one for a few reasons.

1. I like the silicone jacket for my 30gig now.
2. I don't like the acrylic case because they scratch easy and tend to be a bit bulky to me.
3. Though about the iSkin Claro, good scratch resistance but don't like the size, adding 4mm to all sides.
4. Some acrylic cases restrict the use of some accessories, the Claro requires the use of specific headphones or the use of their extension which I don't like.
5. Claro does have a belt clip with stand but the size is what really made me not want it.
6. For use in my car, the silicone case doesn't slide much where an acrylic case would slide around more than I would like.
7. I'm not rough with my iPod so I don't need tons of protection, the silicone case provides the type protection I'm looking for. Add to that the screen protector and you have protection IMO.

Really though, there are a lot of choices out there. Everything from silicone to acrylic to aluminum. Decide what will work best for what you plan to use your iPod for.

personally, it doesn't have the look I like. I like to keep things a bit more simple looking. But everyone has their own tastes. That case is by iSkin just like the Claro I mentioned earlier. It is nice that it includes a screen protector, a click wheel protector and a dock connector cover. It's also nice that it's compatable with the universal dock, so you don't have to take the cover off to use your dock if you use one.

You can find it much cheaper if you Google it. I purchased mine on fleebay brand new for less than $30.
