Hi all,
I've been experimenting with my new shure e4cs, and last night i became really dizzy and unbalanced after taking them in and out all day. Still feel a bit odd today and not too keen to use them anytime soon.. Maybe putting them in a bit too far? I feel like my ears are bruised and my balance is all off...

You should go to the doctor and get checked out. There's a pressure change going on in your ear causing the dizziness and feelings of vertigo. It could be caused from pushing the IEM's in too far, it could also be caused by an over abundance of wax in the ear. Until you can see a doctor you should not use you're IEMs again.
Dizziness is a symptom, not a disease. It is defined as a disorientation in space, a sense of unsteadiness, a feeling of movement within the head such as giddiness, swimming sensation, lightheadedness or a whirling sensation known as true vertigo. Dizziness can result from disturbances in the inner ear, brain eyes, neck, muscles and joints, or a combination of these systems. Since the mechanism of maintaining balance is so complex, it is in many instances impossible to find out the exact cause of the dizziness.
Your IEM's do not come near the inner ear, however they could be increasing pressure if they are being put too far in, causing the symptoms you have described.

Thanks, doctor will be hopeless no doubt and have to refer to specialist, but yeah a bit disconcerting.. okay now.
A good reminder that the ear is a very delicate thing..
I think I put them in too far with too much pressure a few times when trying the different tips... I realize now they don't actually have to go in that far despite what everyone says, they just need to go in to create a perfect seal.. I thought the foam tips were the best (and bought 20 more already) but I can actually get a nice seal with the mid-size rubber ones.

Is it really severe the diziness?
If it's not, then just try to listen to it abit and not so loud.
Also, I noticed that my first pair of IEM's made feel a little bit uncomfortable at first, and lead to a headache. But you get used to it. But, nothing stops you from seeing a doctor.
