hi. recently, i've been trying to find new earphones for my ipod video. i've been wanting to ask what the best quality earphones (not in-ear) are that are in the range of $100. there are so many different earphones, i just can't tell which one of them are good and worth the price. the reason i do not want in-ear phones is that i have heard that they make u dizzy, not allowing u to listen to your music for a while. so PLEASE help me find the best earphones that are not too expensive (100 or less) for my ipod. thank you.:)

Make you dizzy? Aint heard that before.

Try reading the review section, they are some of the most honest reviews I have read on the net.

they only make you dizzy if spin around with them on
for over the ear ~100 bucks the AKG 81DJ is the way to go on a sealed phone
good choices for open are Grado SR80s..just read up on those and you will find some others that may fit you better

That's funny...and scary at the same time that someone's out there making that statement.

I like the Sennheiser HD280 PRO for $100. They're an closed-type over-the-ear headphone that offers very good sound quality and noise isolation. They're also easily driven by the iPod's internal amp and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They're also quite durable (designed for club DJ use) and fold down for decent portability.

If you're prone to vertigo I guess it's a possibility, though I have a bit of vertigo and have no problems with my IEM's.

For $30.00 to $40.00 I'd recommend the PX100's, or the Koss KSC-75's.

The PX200s are very nice, too!

i think the Koss KSC-75 are to my liking, but now that i've been convinced that the in-ear phones don't really make u dizzy, could u give me some tips on which ones to buy that are $100 dollars and below?

I'd recommend that you do a search for the Panasonic HJE70, the Sony EX90 and the V-Moda Vibe, which represent my personal favourites at this price point.

If you're nervous about total isolation, perhaps the Sony EX90 would be the best choice?

Jackonicko's recommendations are all good ones. I'd only add to the mix the Sennheiser CX300's. They don't completely Isolate and have a good sound, however the Sony EX90's are more comfortable from all reports.

Altec Lansing iM616 on Amazon. Otherwise, get the ER-6i.
