The wires are going all sticky and have tried to clean them up without success.
Shame because I really like them. I dont want to get another pair of Sony's so I am looking at the Sennheiser CX300's.
Can anyone comment on how they compare?

I like mine. I've stayed away from the Sony's because of all the problems with the cables. Even the higher end EX90's have a very "delicate" cable.. While the lower end Sony buds have some kind of Insulator-eating-disease. hehehe.
Doesn't surprise me in the least either. I've had Sony Camcorders, and DVD players, and they've all broke on me in one way or another. I think the exception is their 5 disk dvd players. But getting a quality product from Sony seems to be the exception, and not the rule anymore.
