My IPOD for some reason didn't work with the new ITunes 7.0 I found out that my IPOD has a hardware problem so I get a new IPOD . Well anyway here is my problem. I had about 85 songs on the IPOD roughly aBOUT 70 were purchased but unfortunately I didn't copy all the songs to a CD. When the salesclerk took my IPOD he said that all the songs should be on Itunes. Well they are not. I looked in the purchased column and all I can find is about 30. My Itunes library doesn't have all 85 songs either. I loooked in the Search on my computer for a lot of the songs I purchased but no record of the songs are anywhere., they are not even in the Itunes documents. It's like I just lost them. How can I lose all my purchased songs? It's hard to believe I accidentally deleted about 60 songs. How do I locate all my music. They have got to be there somewhere don't they? The other songs I have lost came from a website so they are easy to relocate

-Mac or Windows?
-When seaching search for .mp3 or .aac file name and all of the files ending in that format will come up.
-Did you manually check in the iTunes Music folder? Just because they are not showing in iTunes library doesn't mean they are not still in the music folder.
Always back up your downloads. If you don't find them then your out of luck. Make sure you double check first.

I'm using Windows XP. I did manage to locate some of the purchased (library songs), but they seem to be all scattered about in raNdom order, but the vast majority about 40.00 worth of songs can not found No matter what I typed I kept getting File can not be found. Other than re-buying the songs I don't know how else to get them back some were my all time favorites. I bought 2 Brian Setzer songs but each time I got 'no such file'. OH well. When they say bak up your work they mean it. It's hard to believe that I accidentally deleted that much music
