My ipod included headphones are really starting to annoy me (whilst brand new, they are defective, as they make weird crackling sounds) ...I'm too lazy to take them back to apple so I thought I would upgrade instead.

I have 50 dollars (and I was really looking forward to buy a case, but oh well) I was looking at the Apple In Ear headphones and I liked how they matched and looked, but I've heard some bad things... Now I liked the apple included headphones, they took time to get used to at first but after that I never had ANY problems and i was thinking maybe these ones just took a little getting used to at first too? Or are they REALLY bad?

I dont run, I walk with my music alot... I've never before tried in ears.. Should I go spend my money on them?

also, if not.. if you recomend any other in ear phones that are nice and white (too match my ipod) ...could you say? Nothing over 40 dollars, Nothing I cant buy in a local electronics store.

white sennheiser px100's. they sound mad!

also, their cx300 in ears are probably the next logical upgrade from the stock earbuds, also come in white.

get the cx300's if you worry about your sound annoying others.

Yes, Apple in-ear phones are really, truly, that bad. CX-300 is a great choice.

What kind of music do you like? I have the Sennheiser CX300's and they're about the best up to double their price point ($47.00 at amazon.com) Once you hit $100.00 price point the field opens up a bit.

Some others also recommend the V-moda line of buds. But I think they're more a style choice as opposed to sound.

The Creative EP630's are also highly regarded by people as well.

The Senn's and Creatives are Canal Earphones. (not IEM's.) They have some noise canceling ability but they're still good for walking. They don't block out all of the sound like the higher-end IEM's do.

A good seal is important for the Canal Earphones, else they'll sound tinny.
