Hi-

About a year ago, I added an additional hard drive to my computer, as I was experiencing major space issues. Unbeknownst to me, my husband then decided it'd be a good idea to "cut" and "paste" software programs from the C:/Program Files folder to the new F:/Program Files folder.

ITunes and Quicktime were not huge fans of this husbandly transfer. I upgraded ITunes, which refuses to work, as it needs a newer version of Quicktime (7.0 or higher). So, I downloaded and attempted to install a newer version of Quicktime (without iTunes), and that didn't work, either.

Here's how it goes:

1. Try to start Itunes, get this error message:

Quicktime Version 6.5.2 is installed. ITunes requires Quicktime version 7.0.3 or higher. Please reinstall iTunes.

2. Reinstall Itunes+Quicktime combo (7.0.1.3) to F:/Program Files folder, which gets about 1/3 way through, and I get this error message:

Could Not Open Key
H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi on\Uninstall\QuickTime. Verify that you have sufficient access to the key or contact your support personnel.

3. So, then, I think: "Ha! I will just install Quicktime (7.1.3) by itself" to the to F:/Program Files folder. Yeah, that didn't work, either. The same error message came up:

Could Not Open Key
H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi on\Uninstall\QuickTime. Verify that you have sufficient access to the key or contact your support personnel.

So, before I throw my computer AND my husband out the window, could somebody please help? I miss my music!

Thanks!
