Hi
I have just built a new computer and would like to move all my music currently stored in Itunes on my laptop and on my Ipod to the new machine. The last time i did this i seem to remember installing itunes on the new machine and plugging in the Ipod hoping the music would just transfer but I got a message saying something about the ipod being linked to another computer and did i want to link it to the new one instead therefore deleting all the music from the Ipod! I am not interested in keeping the music on the Laptop just want to move everything to the new machine and syncronize the Ipod from there. Hope someone can help! (Both machines are WinXP SP2 by the way)
Cheers Rob

You can backup the music and restore it to your PC.

Don't forget to deauthorize your laptop before you uninstall iTunes from it. Then Authorize your PC. This will allow you to play the purchased songs from the iTunes store.
