Hello,
I bought a new ipod video last week, my old one used itunes 6 now i am forced to use itunes 7 with with this model.
Everything was working great until yesterday now i get these problems everytime i want to update my ipod......
Ipod cannot be updated. An unknow error occurred (-50)
then
iPod Cannot be Updated. The disc could not be read from or written to.
I have done the reset
Tried to restore and it can't find any ipod.
Uninstalled itunes then re installed....it works for the first update then the same problem again.
Also have a problem that i got on my last ipod using itunes 7......i have a language course on it that played fine when i had itunes 6 but on itunes 7 some of the lessons cause my ipod to reset itself back to the apple screen.
It does detect my ipod before i try to update.
I don't think i will buy an ipod again, i have had problems like this from time to time with all my ipods in the past but usually sorted it out by this time.
Its really annoying...waited a week to get a cover for my new ipod because they still scratch very easy even when cleaning them gently with a soft cloth!
Plug it in and all sorts of problems happen
I have uninstalled iTunes, reformatted the ipod, installed iTunes again and the same thing happens....updates the first time then these messages, i have tried all 5 usb connections and nothing helps.
Can anybody help me out please?
Cheers!
