I messed up some way. I thought Podcast Ready was a good idea and loaded it on my Ipod. It is a 20 gig ipod with no photo.

I tried loading some podcast on my ipod using the program. I plug the ipod in and when Itunes opens up I see the folder for Podcast Ready but my comput locks up solid. I have tried to delete the folder before it locks up but it still locks up. I tried it on my laptop with the same results.

The Ipod plays fine but I can not plug it into my computer to even get the goofy program off.

I would like to know if there is an easy way to get this thing off my ipod or if I have to format it? If I have to format it and get it back to factory settings, how do it do it. I can sure the heck live without Podcast Ready. I was an idiot:o

This was only posted yesterday so you have to allow people time to read and respond.

I don't know anything about Podcast Ready, and maybe a lot of others don't either. When you use any 3rd party app, you run the risk of problems. Maybe you could try contacting them directly, or if they have their own forum?

All I could suggest is possibly restoring your ipod. This will clear everything on it, whether that includes the app you've loaded I'm not sure. I suppose if it's very messed up it's worth a shot.

To restore, you connect your ipod and in iTunes you will see the settings for your ipod. Just click restore. It's best to make sure you music is backed up, as, as I mentioned above, it will wipe your ipod clean. Good luck.

Reading further I see you are having problems connecting, so maybe my advice won't help if you cannot connect at all.

You should uninstall Podcast Ready from your PC and laptop. If your iPod still locks up your computer, then you'll need to restore it.
